Life’s a Beach

I love this time of year.  The days are getting a bit longer and spring
fashion is in full bloom which means warm weather is just around the corner.
The bright colors and whimsical patterns just scream here comes the sun!!  A
perennial spring/summer favorite is terry cloth and this year is no
exception.  Its making its mark in both tanks and hoodies and in true summer
style it’s available in bright hues of blue and pink.  It’s also almost time
to pack your winter toys and break out your plush flip flops, Bone du Soliel
suntan lotion, and Licksilver surfboard!!  To totally delve into the warm
weather theme don’t forget to box up your heavy winter dishes and grab your
Sunglasses Feeder…After when your pampered pooch…Life’s a beach!!  Let

Barkin’ Politics

In Election 2008 every vote counts!!  We love the idea of dressing your pup in their political colors…Democrat Donkey’s or Republican Elephants!!  After all  what better way to spread your political message and get people talking about the election!!  Or perhaps you’d just like to get the word out that it’s important to take the time to vote but you don’t want to hold fast to any particular party…Go with a simple Pink or Blue Vote tee.  It gets the message out there without starting a huge political debate!!  Chloe and I are simply using a pink (our signature color, of course) Vote Tee to cheerfully remind folks to get out there and vote.  We don’t care whether you’re a Donkey or Elephant…Just get out there and bark the vote this year!!

Tag Your It

I can’t stress the importance of properly tagging your dog enough!!  Yesterday, as I left my home and began traveling to work I noticed a Yorkie walking in the road.  My first thought was “holy smokes” then I collected myself. I pulled the car over as I was worried the dog would be hit by a car and called him.  He quickly scampered over and thank goodness he had a tag that clearly stated his name – address and phone number.  He actually traveled close to 4 miles away from his home over a little more than 12 hours and his parents were worried to death over him (naturally, wouldn’t we all).  In the past we have not carried charms that accept engraving or that can be easily marked with your dog’s information.  After this experience we will concentrate our immediate efforts on finding unusual, trendy and fun ID tags that you and your pooch will adore and be eager to use but they will also serve as a a functional resource if your pooch ever finds himself/herself a stray from home!!

Animal Planet’s Red Hot Collar & Leads

We are so over the moon!!  Not once but twice this week alone Maggie & Dixie Gallant of Animal Planet.com have featured our products in their blog.  Today the duo mentioned how collar and lead sets are the perfect Valentine’s Day Gift…After all what pup doesn’t love a little neck candy!!  Our Tender Heart Collar and Lead was featured today.  This particular collar and lead set is designed by a team of two sisters who set out to make a fun, funky, and unique collar and lead set. We “Heart” Animal Planet

Little Dog – Big World

Being a tiny dog is a lot like a being 5′5″ woman (take it from me, I am one) trying to find jeans.  At the risk of sounding like Goldie-locks they are either too long – too short but they are never just right!!  The same holds true for tiny dogs most toys  and bowls are just way too big for them and collars forget about it…The buckle is usually bigger than the dogs entire neck!!  Good news…It may require a little digging but finally designers are answering the call of tiny pups!! We found the most darling itsy bitsy bowls which are available in pink, blue, or pink leopard and they are just the perfect size for the tiniest pampered pooches!!  If playtime is what your petite pup craves try the Sweet Pals and Little Friends toy collections these teeny toys max out at just 3.5″ in length!!  Then for the daunting task of collar or harness shopping we love Susan Lanci’s Ultrasuede collars.  They are so lightweight and feature a streamline buckle plus they have fabulously fun adornments check out our favs…The Cupcake Cheer and Jolly Roger!! If you prefer a harness, you can’t go wrong with a step in harness and we just love the new nylon variety…Here’s a few we can’t get enough of…The Floral Burst, Daisy Doodle, and Sunburst Dots!!

Valentine’s Necessities

Pucker Up

Pucker up because Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and we just received a shipment of Kiss Kiss Lips  which is a plush – squeakable toy in the shape of none other than a set of lips!!  We can’t get enough of them.  They are especially fun for small dogs because if they grab the toy just right all you can see is a giant set of lips quickly approaching.  We haven’t laughed this hard in a long time and just couldn’t wait to share them with you!!  They also have the initials S.W.A.K which stands for sealed with a kiss of course!!

A Little Pick Me Up
